Binh Cao attends the 2019 annual American Society of Parasitologists conference

On July 11-14, Binh attended the American Society of Parasitologists annual conference on held at The Double Tree by Hilton-Mayo Clinic Area in Rochester, MN. Binh gave a talk on “How does ROP23 contribute to Toxoplasma gondii virulence?” He also got to opportunity to meet nobel laureate William Campbell, who won the Nobel Prize in 2015 for discovering ivermectin, anti-parasitic drug used to treat river blindness and elephantiasis.

Guiton lab at the 15th biennial meeting on Toxoplasma Biology and Toxoplasmosis

On June 19-22, Guiton lab members Dr. Guiton, Binh, Paula, and Emily attended an international conference on Toxoplasma gondii held at the Hotel Heliconias Decameron in Quimbaya, Quindio, Colombia. Emily gave a talk on “How do developmentally regulated metabolic enzymes contribute to stage conversion during Toxoplasma pathogenesis?” Binh and Paula presented a poster on “How does ROP23 contribute to Toxoplasma gondii virulence?”
