On June 19-22, Guiton lab members Dr. Guiton, Binh, Paula, and Emily attended an international conference on Toxoplasma gondii held at the Hotel Heliconias Decameron in Quimbaya, Quindio, Colombia. Emily gave a talk on “How do developmentally regulated metabolic enzymes contribute to stage conversion during Toxoplasma pathogenesis?” Binh and Paula presented a poster on “How does ROP23 contribute to Toxoplasma gondii virulence?”
On February 2, 2019, Paula won the Northern California Parasitologists Balmuth-Horen-Carr Best Student Paper for her talk at the Northern California Parasitology Spring Conference, held at UC Berkeley campus.
On January 3-5, Paula and Dr. Guiton participated in the 31st Annual CSU Biotechnology Symposium.
